Grow Wakefield started over 10 years ago with just one simple idea – To help Wakefield Grow and with the help of hundreds of people like you we’ve been doing just that ever since.
In 2012 we became a social enterprise, in fact we’re a Company Limited by Guarantee, which means that we don’t have shareholders and pay them dividends from the profits – we have members and we reinvest any surpluses we make into the development of Grow Wakefield and the many initiatives we’ve set up to continue to help Wakefield grow.
As a social enterprise, our social mission, rather than making money, is the motivation behind everything we do. Our mission is:
To provide opportunities for improved wellbeing through growing, learning and volunteering by creating community allotments, gardens and workshops across the district
